This week lets turn Our/our attention to the classics, in particular classic sculpture. Even centuries ago human nature was obvious to Those/those who bothered to think deeply about it. male artists of all forms elevated the Feminine to divine status, placing males literally at Her feet. This i believe reflects the simple feelings of inferiority, lust and confusion felt by males in the presence of Feminine beauty and energy. Here We/we see the Female placed on a literal pedestal, a deity to be worshiped and adored as the wellspring of all male desire and pleasure. The burning star around which males orbit, trapped in Her mysterious gravity, the very origin of life itself from which all males are birthed.
In Her awesome presence he is reduced to kneeling beneath Her, only worthy of touching Her legs, nuzzling their alluring sculptural form, drawing close so as to inhale Her scent, which only serves to tighten the invisible chains She uses to enslave his soul.
In the background We/we see a second statue of a male gently holding the Female in his arms, protectively and tenderly yet beneath Her. he casts his gaze upwards to Her sublime face as if placed in a trance by Her beauty.
Art reveals the true nature of Humans/humans.
Even the prehistoric Venus figurines, too, exemplify regard for femininity. Dr. Marija Gimbutas considered these to be Goddess figures or objects for Earth Mother worship.
ReplyDeleteExactly gary. This form of artistic expression goes back to the origin of humanity. It's an elemental form of the male psyche that gets repressed by patriarchy but keeps surfacing again and again due to it's being an undeniable part of being male.

"fulfilled in their subservient role", that is the essential thing for the modern male in this rapidly changing society. Embrace that and males will be content and happy, fighting it is unnatural and leads to frustration and hopelessness. males need to be true to themselves.

That is so very true, that fulfilment for men today is to be found in embracing our inferiority and happily accepting the subservient role. Fortunately we have a new, high profile role model in the partner of New Zealand prime minister Jacinda Ardern. PM Ardern last week announced her pregnancy and stated that her partner, Clarke Gayford, will be a stay at home dad. This should in future become the norm: high achieving women partnered with stay at home men who raise the children and run the house, enabling their wives to run countries and corporations. Clarke is on record as saying that he has always been attracted to ambitious women. He will be the perfect example of the new man. A man who is turned on by strong, ambitious women, and want to see them succeed in their careers, and therefore takeover the role of househusband to enable his wife fulfill her dreams. While he is fulfilled by being the partner of an accomplished woman, happy being the man behind the woman. Accepting his place and knowing his is the supportive, supportive role.
DeleteGary thanks for pointing out Dr. Marija Gimbutas. Her work looks fascinating The world is moving back to the ways of Goddess Worship as it did in the past. The Patriarchy will of course, resist, but it will lose. Some of us look forward to serving our Female Superiors.
